My father’s indictment reminds me dictatorship era of 1999

Islamabad(BBC ASIA) Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Maryam Nawaz in a reaction to recent indictment of his father in flagship companies limited references has said in tweet that indictment reminded me the dictatorship era of 1999.

I was protesting with my mother against dictator in Peshawar when I heard similar news back in 1999.

Earlier today Accountability Court indicted Nawaz in third reference of flagship companies limited.

Earlier Accountability court has indicted Nawaz Sharif in Avenfield apartments and Azizia steel millscorruption reference. This will be the third indictment of PMLN president in corruption. Court has indicted Nawaz Sharif daughter Maryam Nawaz, his son-in-law MNA Captain Safdar in Avenfield apartment corruption reference.

Accountability court has rejected the plea of Sharif family to suspend hearing of corruption references and their indictment.

Maryam Nawaz said that this accountability is mockery of the law and constitution.

Nawaz Sharif also spoke through his representative Zafir Khan that fair and transparent trial is the basic right of Sharif family.

Nawaz Sharif likely to return Pakistan on October 22 and also expected to appear before court on October 26 in Azizia steel mills reference filed by NAB on the direction of Supreme court of Pakistan.
